The city of Miyazaki will host the 10th World Conference on Timber Engineering. The conference is part of the continuing series of conferences previously held in Seattle (1988), Tokyo (1990), London (1991), New Orleans (1996), Montreux (1998), Whistler (2000), Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia (2002), Lahti, Finland (2004), and Portland(2006).

The objective of the WCTE 2008 is to provide a forum for the exchange of the latest technological advances, research results and design innovations. As such, this conference should be of interest to practicing engineers and architects, researchers, educators and manufacturers in the field of timber engineering.
