The conference will be held place in Miyazaki, Japan. The conference venue will be the Miyazaki Kanko Hotel, located in downtown Miyazaki, along the Oyodo River.

Japan's time zone is UTC (universal time coodinated) plus 9 hours.
The Conference Organizing Committee will be pleased to send an invitation to any participant making such as request. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential attendees obtain a visa or raise travel funds. Please note that the organizers will not provide any financial assistance for conference or travel expenses of the participants in providing official invitation letters.
Please be aware that there will be several summits before this conference so immigration will have more security than usual.
It is recommended that participants and accompanying persons arrange for personal travel and health insurance. The organizers will not assume any responsibility for injury or damage to person or property during the conference.
June is the rainy season, please bring an umbrella. The average temperature in June is 21-26°C and the average humidity is 75-80%. Although warm during the days it can be cool at night. A light jacket or sweater may be necessary for the evenings.
Miyazaki offers many sightseeing spots. There are certain of history shrine other than a museum and an art museum in Miyazaki. In addition, you can enjoy shopping, visit a zoo, and enjoy beautiful nature of the sea and flowers. Days full of fun activities await you and / or your family in beautiful Miyazaki, Japan.


Miyazaki Prefecture is located in the South Eastern part of the island of Kyushu (the Southernmost of the four main islands of Japan). The Western area of the Prefecture is mountainous, consisting of the Kyushu mountain range and the Kirishima volcanic zone, and the Eastern border is the coastline of the Pacific Ocean.
Miyazaki has a total area of approximately 7,734 km², and a population of 1.167million. In addition to its year-round warm climate, Miyazaki's weather is among the best in Japan based on the amount of fine days, sunshine, and precipitation, due to the influence of warm currents off the coast.


The Miyazaki Airport is connected with 8 Japanese cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka, where international connections can be made.
There are three regular weekly flights between Miyazaki and Seoul(Incheon), Korea. It is only approximately 20 minutes from the Miyazaki Airport to downtown area by car. Airport shuttle bus services are available every 30 minutes.

The conference venue is located about 8km from the Miyazaki airport. Three means of transportation are available.
The easiest way is to catch a taxi from the Miyazaki airport to the venue. The ride takes about 15 minutes and costs about 2,000 Yen.
The second way of transport is by bus. Please get on the bus bound for Miyazaki Station and get off at Tamayuranoyu bus stop, from the bus stop it is about 5 minutes walk to the conference venue and the bus fare is 340 Yen.
The third means of transportation is by train. Two trains leave an hour for Miyazaki Station and the ride takes 20 minutes. However the conference venue is located 1.5km from and takes 25 minutes by foot. The cost is 340 Yen
The timber production in Miyazaki is 1.25 million m³/year, which is second place out of 47 prefectures in Japan. About 89% of them are "Sugi", Japanese cedar, with the largest production for 15 consecutive years in Japan.
Therefore, our highest priority is to make sugi a very useful and reliable material.
